Drum Beats was a discussion forum that was connected to the old Cookbook for Cannibals website (nearly 20 years ago now). While it had many interesting discussion threads, this was the only one that I preserved. It was a challenge between several participants to create themed limericks. It produced some delighful results. I wish now that I had saved more. And for the English majors and other purists, yes... not all of these are necessarily proper limericks.

This story was written on paper on a typewriter and sent to me in the mail. I found it recently and I scanned it, OCR'd it and edited the mistakes. At one time I knew the author's name, but that was a long time ago and I no longer remember, so I used the name of the story's main character. The author was at the time the girlfriend of "Lee", the author of Cannibal Island and Chez Albert. She wanted to try her own hand at writing cannibal fiction, and I think it was a great result. Let's face it: most so-called cannibal fetish fiction is written by men. This story is one that was written by a woman from a woman's point of view. And it's a good story. I promise you, although it was written 30 some years ago, you haven't seen this one before.
